Caramelized orange honey chicken wings

Caramelize your next batch of baked chicken wings with an easy to make orange honey glaze

Yields4 Servings

Ingredients

 1 kg Chicken wings, tips removed
Orange honey glaze
 ½ cup Honey
 4 tbsp Orange juice concentrate
 2 tsp Garlic, minced or powder
 ½ tsp Salt
 ¼ tsp Fresh ground peppercorns
 2 tsp Orange zest, grated



Directions

Cook chicken wings

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly oil a baking tray.

Separate chicken wings into 2 parts and place onto the baking tray. Bake for 30 Minutes. Remove from oven flip all the wings and bake for another 15 Minutes or until done.

Remove from oven and carefully separate the wings from the tray using a spatula placing into a large stainless steel bowl.

Make Orange honey glaze

In a small bowl combine honey, orange juice concentrate, pepper, salt and garlic. Whisk vigorously until the honey and the orange juice concentrate combine together.

Cover and let stand 15 Minutes for the flavour to be released from the orange juice concentrate and spices. Whisk again making sure to mix everything into a smooth sauce. Gently fold the orange zest into the mixture for added texture.

Caramelize

Pour orange honey glaze over the wings and gently fold together until the wings are coated. Place on tray with the least baked side facing up and cook for another 10 Minutes.

The orange honey glaze should caramelize under the wings and a little on top. For a crispier finish, turn on the broiler at the end.
